Mmmm Hmmm

Sunday was a long day, again, little recollection now that I've reached Monday. What I do remember is listening to a band with off-rhythm players and a whining singer at Yucca Tap Room while Carn and everyone else drank 40's with mexicans by the Circle K next door. Before that we were at Furio, where I'm about to begin my second life as a cover singer, pretty strange. My man Branden forgot to pay for a bottle of wine and they thought our dread boy skipped on the check (ah stereotyping) and we dealt with that whole set of shenanigans and bitched about gas priced all the way to Tempe. After Yucca I stared blankly at a screen for inspiration until about 3am and woke up this morning at 8 to finish flyers for Lyte.

Tonight we may or may not dj, and tomorrow I may or may not wake up inspired...

The powers that be want us to fly to Atlanta to be contestants on an MTV contest show for bands, but strangely enough I rather go to Hawaii and swim for a week than deal with that. Every MTV rep I've ever met is like that annoying kid in high school on student council who listened to indie rock and then got an excuse when they went to college to move from timid to better than thou. Not my favorite people, and I don't want to hear us compared to Estelle 47 times in a week. I worked on booking shows most of today in my downtime. We're working on an American Apparel sponsored event with Aaron Seaford for our next monthly event with him, I hope that comes through, it'd be pretty stimulating to work with them. We rebooked a night at Shake, with William Reed for August, and now that I start counting we're looking at 17 shows in August! Scary, but awesome, and definetly the best way yet to pay the rent!

We're looking at Moon and Cathouse in Vegas for our first parties there, excited for that as well.

New front and back flyer for Lyte below.
