What A Long Strange Trip It's Been

Ugh. 6am.

An ugly, scary time of morning. No. A beautiful, scary time of morning.

Today I woke up and sold old records to pay bills, which was surprisingly easier on my psyche than I imagined it would be.

Ended up at a launch party for Fixation clothing, whom I modeled for recently, up at Studio 15 in Scottsdale, where my hands became stained from the green food coloring they were putting in the champagne.

Then, speaking of champagne, we tried out the Safeway by our new place and bought appropriatly cheap bottles to toast with in the neighborhood park while we waited to go to Glam.

Which was appropriately legendary. First time I've seen crowd-surfing in an Arizona club. Or a whole group of people in gym gear doing performance dance pieces on cue outside. Or bearded indie twins in American apparel PE uniforms. Or a man with a dragon tail glued to his back. Or masked clubgoers (how do they check id?). The dance floor was so destroyed from last night they patched it with boards and electrical tape to make it usable tonight. Epidemic remains my favorite Arizona dj, and he's a high ranking contestant on my "genuinely good guy" Arizona competition.

At the afterparty they played our cd, not even the good version, the trashy old one with the U and I remix, and everyone danced indefinitely.

And it all felt good.

Slightly disturbing (sometimes you don't realize what you look like until its captured by 15k worth of equipment by a professional) first shot from the Fixation shoot. Featuring my brick phone (yes it turns on and can *gasp* even place a call with the right work).
