So I'm engaged in general sickness over Kanye kicking it with Karl Lagerfield, not gonna lie.
On a plus note we got masters back from the studio today for the first three songs and they sound PHENOMENAL, like they should, I'm very excited. And now Centerfold is high enough quality to really push to the strip clubs we're about to get it in get it in get it in.
Everything went really really well today, met with J-Nice at the Mondrian and we have a solid record deal on the table that we're taking. This man had like the most official room service breakfast plate ever, four huge sausages, pound of eggs, four slices toast, eight strips bacon, 2 liter oj... From there it was over to Wade's to have him explain the masters "I want to take the listener through a journey of sound", then some meetings at the finally open Avalon. And they had Hendricks, unlike every other bar in Scottsdale, and I bonded with the BM over taste in gin.
We all had drinks at Saddle Ranch yesterday with the team for all star weekend, and I'm very excited for that, MySpace is involved in every party (live broadcast? what up what up) and so is Silver Medallion and we're picking from a SICK lineup of rock acts to separate ourselves from the urban urbanness that is all star weekend.
I'm busy designing tonight, got a lot of work this month, but it beats being laid off (15k at home depot today...), excited to do All Star Thursday night at Mondrian djing (I believe it will be an official Phat Farm party as well...), and to do LMFAO, Shwayze and Silver Medallion at Rialto in Tucson in March to kick off our mini-tour (I believe we're entitling it The Crusades, or Crusade of the Medallion or somesuch, Congorock already took the Fist of God tour...).
Live at Lyte friday! And I will not be seen at a club or bar until then, we gotta get real right for All Star. Luckily we now have two interns, which is increasing productivity immensely.
