Pretty cool day, all in all.
Just finished a bunch of designs, letterhead and new stuff for Glass Slipper, website stage one is done for Hostile Lifestyle, decks for Thedirty.com party in Tampa... We've had clients coming out of the woodword all weekend and now things are back in full swing.
Best part of today was going down to the radio station to sit in on their weekly meeting and present out music in front of all the people at Power. It was a real learning experience, about 20 djs sitting around a table and they have checksheets with all potential music ads for the week. Everyone channels the mindstate of a 16 year old latina girl (no joke), and they play the songs one by one and everyone ranks them. We participated amongst many jokes as The Dream, Beyonce and Weezy made it through the rounds (arguing about Prom Queen ensued). Then we gave our spheel, and one of the directors from The Edge came in, and they played our songs to much discussion... This went FAR better than we expected, they really liked them, and after much ado Stop/Go was pronounced our candidate for single.
I'm all about it.
Been texting with Wade all day, he spent the day mixing Stop/Go and others, and really going out of his way to get our songs sounding right. We get the next round of masters back tomorrow. Other than that tomorrow I just design more and practice with our new drummer and keep getting things moving.
We had an awful lot of fun at the radio station...
