Classic Flashback 1: College Record Store

Classic flashback moment: In college I used to buy used cds from the on campus music store Hoodlums by the fistload, amazed I could return them and get five new cds a week for about 10 dollars. There were the usual suspects working there: the old guy, the hipster, the angry girl, the guy with the nerd glasses who talks like he writes for pitchfork, the uncomfortably gay guy, the preppy black guy, the kinda hot girl, the long haired old guy, the dreadlocked dude etc. At one point when questioning the guy with the nerd glasses who talks like he writes for pitchfork about which of the 6 cds I had I should eliminate, he points to the Mission of Burma cd I have and says, “Just buy that one, it’s better than everything else you have there together ever could be.” Or something equally music czar/nerd (y). End of the flashback, that cd wasn’t enjoyable in the least.
