Phoenix, Arizona, October 2, 2008 - AZ ROCKS THE VOTE - PHOENIX ARTISTS UNITE FOR CHANGE SATURDAY, OCTOBER 25, 2008
at Canvas Art Space located at 1011 N. 3rd St, Phoenix, Arizona. Beginning at 3pm, hundreds of young democrats are expected to join a lineup of over
30 Valley based artists, musicians and designers who are scheduled to perform as part of an all day fund raiser to benefit the Democratic National Committee.
Confirmed to perform AZ Rocks The Vote 2008 are local bands Fatigo, Cardiac Party, Minibosses, Silver Medallion, Hooves, What Laura Says, Colorstore, Babaluca,
Terra Firma and Cultura Liberteria along with live Art auctions by Dumperfoo, Lalo Cota, Bobby Castenada and Sentrock. Additionally, this event will also
feature fashion shows and auctions by local designers Lola & Lola, Arte Puro, Fourtoul and live dancing and performances by B-Boys vs. Capoeira vs. Dulce Dance Co.
AZ Rocks The Vote 2008 will also feature live DJ sets by Pete "Supermix" Salaz, Pablo Gomez, The Disco Villains, Kevin The Makeout Bandit, Pone Discos, Epidemic,
Bigie, Craig Citizen, Nico & William Reed.
Tickets are available at the door only for $8. Admission is free with proof of voter registration and photo ID. Donations of any amount will also be accepted at the door.
This is a not-for-profit event. All proceeds will be donated to the Democratic National Committee. Donations are not tax deductible.
This event is all ages and open to the public. Doors open at 2:30pm and performances are scheduled to run until 2am.
