In An Effort

More and more people are reading this now, a lot of it off the popularity of our band, Silver Medallion, and because everything seems to be moving in the direction of the band, so will the blog. I'm going to try and do a couple mp3 blog entries a week now, kinda discussing some of our favorite music, music that influenced our project etc. Add something different to the mix.

Today, we have early Fifty Cent.

We wouldn't have our album today without Fif, he was integral to our process in a strange way. Before I met Carnegie, our mc, Carnegie actually lived at the house of the famous rapper for a chunk of time as hype man to a lesser known G-Unit member (or at least, ex-G-Unit member, don't know the deal) Hot Rod. This has led, in my opinion, to way too much G-Unit music involved in our creative process. But at the same time, when I was 16 and reading The Source frequently, Fifty was the proverbial shit, and pre him getting shot 9 times and dropping one of the most classic rap albums ever, Get Rich or Die Trying, he had a serious banger I liked called "Good Die Young", featured below.
