My life is turning into a movie, and that probably needs to stop. Mansion parties, thugs wilding out for money, shady hotels, penthouse suites, sold out shows, violence, blissful moments of love, early am phone calls, bottles at the club, broken dreams, suicides, police stings, 5am studio sessions, strange ponytailed men with names like Nilo, safes full of money, limousines with suicide doors, greasy agents, lots of foriegners and suddenly everyone in the city knows your (pen)name.
I wouldn't say I enjoy it, but it's got a banging soundtrack.
After spending a lot of time today collecting invoices and paying bills, ironically I think I'm going to end up almost exactly with the same amount of money I had planned three months ago to have when I left for NY, no up or down, despite the huge losses on these last events and the dozens of new clients. Everything has a balance I guess...
This weekend a rapper broke a mirror during a photo shoot, a black cat crossed my path, and strangely enough we made some really good music. I'm trying to just concentrate on that and see if perhaps we can just rise above all this business and just go with the creativity.
Below is a new song by me and Carnegie, called Slave, produced by me, with me singing and the first verse, we split the second and he has the third. My demo is coming together...
