First time in four years I've had a television where I live for a steady amount of time. It's not a bad thing, alright maybe it's the root of all evil... But anyway, I like to work on my computer and have something on in the background. I was not aware of the miracles of modern technology that have been put into mainstream hands since my previous television experiences. For instance, I can record any show on any channel in the future for any series with the click of the button. So I can come home and have whatever shows I like sitting there with ads I can fast forward though. Good deal.
In a related note, I think CSI might be the best crime prevention program this country has ever seen. Watching this gives me the innate feeling that if I was to rob a convenience store they would DNA match sweat particles from the benchpress I use at a local gym with excess skin deposits found on a dollar bill I spent at the local pizza parlor and it'd be all over. This would all be processed at these secret billion dollar facilities with these ivy league graduate intelligence level cops running amok in Hummers.
Anyway, so apart from television deterring me from pursuing Darth Vader esque organized crime if the music thing falls out, things are picking up. I've spent the majority of the last couple days working with Flash, to build those fancy web applications and sites that people pay bank for. Another two weeks of learning that for a significant period per day and I'll have a new skill. Back to work with the calming sounds of the day care facility next door...
