Fought off viscious early morning traffic and made my flight this morning, I've never travelled so "heavy", I guess I'd say. Whole photo kit in one box, computer in another, all my dj stuff in carry ons (cd tables, mixer and all), pretty hard to navigate but thankfully its all back to the Motherland of Phoenix, AZ.
Now that I'm back here I've gotta work on a way to maintain the Vegas event's team and make sure their goals get accomplished, while stepping up and making sure Union work in AZ not only continues at it's current level, but doubles down on effectivity. If both those systems can be working in a scheduled fashion by the time I head to NY, things will work out well.
Our first Union mixtape drops later this week, should be interesting to see the results, its one of the first local mixtapes of it's kind in AZ, and could create a little bit of a buzz that we can then work off of to establish the mixtape as a viable promotions tool in the area. If we can maintain a monopoly on that (which won't happen easily, its too easy of a model to replicate), by quickly expanding our network and maintaing a standard of new innovations to it's execution every time then we'll be seeing many more these. It'll be good to get to New York and see how they actually effectively move mixtapes, and then bring some ideas back. Luckily for us, the best in Arizona are 6 months easily behind in all of the hip hop and popular culture based markets...
