Don't know why it's so much harder to keep up with the blog in Arizona. I have to sit down with the blackberry and figure out how to just copy paste it all in on there so I can do it while we're travelling.
Things are really cool right about now. We're getting ready for our first magazine cover (and it's relatively major) for February, our album photo shoot with Giulio is next week, we get interviewed for some random MTV thing tomorrow, off to LA to record the new tape this weekend, Miami next weekend, All Star with DJ AM and potentially Sony... Craziness craziness craziness.
Had an amazing meeting today working on the treatment for the Slave music video we're working for late January with that, the director has an awesome set of concepts, people chained in the club and all sorts of time lapse interestingness, looking forward to that, definetly my personal favorite song on the album.
We got back the final track, Confessions, yesterday, no more joints to cut! I want to just start releasing but we're gonna cut this mixtape and put those out so we can hold onto these for the actual release. As tempting as it is, it all makes sense. Apparently Iroc mentioned to Carnegie about possibly directing a video for us, we're looking into doing our rawest song by far "The Iggy", and maybe shooting at the local shoe shop High Point, but we have to sit down and actually talk with everyone.
I've had this dream of having music videos for every track and a full dvd with the cd, and we just might be able to do it, video is more and more affordable every day, and apparently we might actually start making money on this whole thing somewhere this summer. I find it classic that everyone thinks were ballin out here (we keep up appearances well though), when we still walk/bus around and thrift for everything. Seriously Buffalo Exchange is amazing, because if you thrift Goodwill etc well enough you can buy some solid thrift clothes, resell them at Buffalo for more money, trade in your out of season fits and walk out with a new wardrobe for about $20 spent at Goodwill. Including shoes. Just did this the other day (we wear all black now, things are too bad in the world for the 80s to stay popular) and it worked out amazing. And I just started going to the Phoenix one ($30 creative recs!)...
Anyway, back to it all, finishing writing our Fiest remix.
"I put my life up in this shot glass and I drank it down,
You danced with me the way you dance when no one's around
All I wanted was to get us out of here,
Somewhere where the people won’t stop and stare
But now I’m so far gone that you forgot how to love me,
I’m sedated by the feeling when the girls they touch me,
Like a god or something from the stars,
And I know I’m not but im'a let this rock for a second like"
(My moon my man, my moon my man)
Coo.
