Election day, and luckily I'm working (gotta pay bills), no complaining here on that note, bumping the new Kanye West "Anyway" (thanks Carn) and getting some more designs done.
Been collecting quotes for our press kit, Chilly from 104.7 came through with a decent one "I've seen the future of music, they have a golden touch and will hang platinum plaques, let me introduce you to Silver Medallion." The new press kit is gonna nothing less than awesome (I'm kinda excited) as I steal people's myspace comments and turn them into platinum quotes (insert evil laugh here).
Kicked it with my boy Ryan last night, who makes hip hop beats and work for ESPN blogs, living right off of Bedford (kinda sounds like the life, not gonna front). He just did a beat that Rakaa from Dilated People's was on, which brings me way back to when I was obsessed with making beats. Thinking back I made beats for YEARS, spent hours upon hours hunting through vinyl etc. and on this mission not to make a career but to make really really dope true school hip hop beats... Well, while I've abandoned that for voice lessons, dance classes, the Abcrusher 4000 and screaming teenage girls, Ryan's getting damn near close, having someone from Dilated (the first indie hip hop record I ever bought was Work the Angles) on the track would be AMAZING, props to him.
