Hawaii

Late night, writing press releases.

Gotta love Hawaii, no place like it. Spent the majority of the afternoon face down in the sand/floating in the water after working from 7am, wondering how things could be so good. Doesn't take much but a nice day out here to change attitudes.

Got the first month of our deal squared away with Rehab and Silver Medallion, so that we're working with them for printing related to our events, and they're a presence at most of the events with product. Should be interesting to see how it works out, if we can grab a liquor sponsor as well our promotional costs will be very low monthly and we just have to see how hard it is to facilitate their presence at our events.

On the plus side we can now do a lot more print, we want to do flyers at the beginning of every month that are half business cards for us, and half a list of all show dates we have confirmed that month. Then we can just distribute en-masse. Being able to cross promote our band, our shows, our business, our sponsors and our club night on all our cds and print makes print increasingly valuable, so I'm looking forward to making it happen.

Tonight I try to relaunch getyourswagup.com as the front page for Medallion Enterprises. We do so much of our management ourselves that we needed to make our band more official, and be prepared to handle business opportunities as professionally as possible. If that means always having a hand in representing ourselves so be it, and this site will provide a backbone. For our identity as a company we wanted to take our edgy, almost electro visual style, refine it with some more euro/fashion design elements but still keep a raw, humorous and intelligent element behind it all that will keep us visually on the edge in Scottsdale/Vegas.

Wish I could stay in Hawaii forever honestly, it just feels so right out here, but already preparing for the mess of insanity that will ensue when we return to AZ. Sadly the sunset was dark and cloudy today out here, hope to get good pictures tomorrow.
