Day at the Office

Productive day today.

We interviewed interns today, 3 of them, all of them good candidates.

We have a rapper whose worked with Brotha Lunch (??) interested in street team work.

A 16 year old model/actress whose been scammed by a shady record deal and wants industry insight.

And a far overqualified programmer/translator looking to expand his production hobby.

Lauren did most of the meetings, I was on the phone or in meetings or having my blood drawn etc etc.

Working in an office really makes a difference: computers, phones, people working, bright lights etc. we really cranked things out today. Handled venue stuff for the video, met with video investor, set up our next intern recruitment stage, briefed on ASU marketing, began to form a team and plan for the strip club marketing for Centerfold, Slave and Camera, booked a show at 6 with some pornstars for Bikers Against Child Abuse (yep), set up pool parties at the Sheraton, brainstormed for our dual album releases (industry at the W in May, fans at Axis in the fall is the tentative plan), got our foot in the door to do 30 pool parties at Mark Taylor properties, etc etc. We also got hard drives hooked up to get our video all streamlined to be edited, office phone numbers and office emails etc.

Spent the early evening with Carnegie at J-Paul's crib. We're doing a mixtape with his dj group Havoc'N'Deed, all dubstep, all pretty exciting. His remix of Ladyhawke's "Paris", damn near made me cry its fucking amazing, this kid is extremely talented. Between him, us (Silver Medallion), Death to the Throne, Gloryhole and Daze of Thunder the state of Arizona might actually have a relevant music scene in the near future, and that's exciting.
