I remember this time last year. Super Bowl was the first major set of events I'd worked, I was working for an event at PCL, Giants vs Red Sox Party with one of the Skam Artists djing. We got things done like crazy promoting and developing and made decent money, PCL faked the bar number on our client who was apparently too balling to care and we got to wear 80s gear and big chains around the club and act ignorant. We thought we'd be able to catch a cab at the end of the night but we couldn't and Branden ended up saving us from our homie's house at 4am. This was still when we were arguing over Silver Medallion vs DK and the Bassline Boys as a priority, god I wish we'd just paid attention to Carnegie in the 24 hour lock in studio sessions at Desert Vista and just done our tracks...
Now it's all star weekend and we're on magazine covers and G's dapping up Jeezy popping bottles with Lil Wayne, and we're meeting with Konvict... Strange times, strange times. At the end of the day not enough has changed though, the reckless level is still way too high.. We'll make it out of this some day.
