Lazy Days in Los Angeles

Worked pretty hard yesterday. I realized I have to organize my house into an office environment now that we no longer have an office in order for me to get things done, I just need that structure of working no matter what 9 to 5 or everything crumbles. As soon as I got that together in two days all my work was done, which I'm pretty happy about.

Only problem is there isn't much new work, this recession killing off quite a lot for what we do as a company, and we're pushing the google optimization, but clients are backing off an its a month at least before retainers start. Puts everyone in a hard place.

Last night went out by Brackens Bar, then over to PURE sushi. The Culinary Arts something in Scottsdale features a restaurant every third thursday for free food and cheap drinks so me and my people hung out with the older yuppie Scottsdale crown and then went down to Sens downtown for dinner. I like Sens, I liked Fate and the other restaurants the owner has put together downtown, and Next Door is banging to, especially on first fridays. The food at Sens was stange and good, we had cold beef on crackling rice crackers, gyoza and excitingly strange martinis and all at a decent price for food (way too pricey for drinks). The dj there is a friend of one of my friends, and was playing trip hop the whole time, made for an interesting environment.

We're booked to perform in front of 10000 people on Monday at the downtown Martin Luther King rally, and they put us in the national timeslots instead of the locals, which is pretty awesome... One good thing about the recession: when you can't afford superstars, there's always Silver Medallion.

Back to shows next week!
