Shook

On our way back from LA, thousands of pictures, hours of video and nine songs later. Only have one decently mixed at this point, but its our Fiest remix and that’s 100% my favorite of the batch so that’s all cool by me.

The ridiculously long car ride back has been alternating between strange classical Mexican music, oldies and our cd, which has my head twisting in some sort of strange vertigo… This road trip is fairly painless because the truck were in has electrical outlets, and one of the guys has the blackberry service where he can plug it in by usb to the computer so we can use internet, which is pretty awesome in terms of making the long hours painless.

So much media was produced in the last few days it astounds me. We made the trip with a videographer, a photographer, and another, and they really didn’t stop grabbing media the whole time, photos at all times, lots of brief snippets of everything from us recording to arguing to strange road trip footage (we all get a little twisted four hours into a drive). Luckily we haven’t clubbed or drank at all on the trip so there’s no serious antics the likes of which we don’t need on the internet. The closest we have is when we stole the camera and explained our plan to brutally murder the kids we’re with at a truck-stop Blair Witch close up style. I blame that on a car ride with too many men.

This week coming up is huge, magazine cover shoot on Tuesday (still unsure as to concept and location, but I’m sure I’m wearing a suit), our album photo shoot on Wednesday night (Tron!) and the preliminary sponsorship work for our Ultimate State Media Domination During All Star Weekend Plan. Plus I think we’ll finally sign this management agreement that’s been floating around lawyers for the last week

Bits and pieces of the night before we left are gradually coming back to me (scary), all I’m beginning to remember was a photo shoot on top of the Grigio, and then brown paper bagging Seagrams at an MTV casting for “Sex With Parents” which apparently we’re in dancing with the selected girls (also scary) and then being at the W for about 2 minutes in bad shape and then wondering why the djs at Jackrabbit are so horrible… You know you’ve been in Scottsdale way too long when you start to wonder where JR is djing that night and if you could get there (scariest).

DJ Fashen has this remix for “Shook One’s” that my man played the other night trying to get people to leave the club so the night could end early (its electro) and the remix is so good his plan backfired and the club got crunker than anyone had imagined it could. I gotta hand it to Fashen, pretty beastly remix. We almost stopped by an event in LA he had with Clipse but for reasons I forget ended up somewhere in Hollywood.

AZ stand up.
