Sunday night. Sitting here anxiously awaiting Joe from WM to send over "Camera" so we can know if it's a banger or not...
Wrote a song yesterday called "Cobra Woman" based on a hook Carn wrote, wrote another song today "Girl Stole My Girlfriend" that's our attempt at Cobra Starship music, which could either go very right or very wrong...
In honor of our pending national media blitz, we are revamping all things Silver Medallion. We now have a Kyte channel (it becomes clear what all those hours of terrible video we've shot are for) to showcase our escapades, we are on Twitter, we're getting a new logo (a heart with a razor blade i believe?), redesigned cd covers for our downloads, new individual myspaces designs, and treatments for pretty ridiculous video promotions.
All sounds amazing: and we have plenty of new music to leak/release as well, our first mixtape will be up in full for download (I didn't realize until recently but our first mixtape, with 6 tracks, entitled "Pity the Fool" had 17,400 downloads!) which is good because the Pity the Fool mixtape wasn't doing anything for any of us, I think it had a Gravity version from before WM (shudder), and it's time the fans got what they need, tons of free Silver Medallion to lure them into buying our actually anticipated debut.
I forgot until being interviewed for XPOZ that what really got us on was that Paper Planes remix from a year+ ago, we got hundreds of thousands of plays and all those mixtape downloads in that era, crazy times. That's a video that never got enough exposure either, on a lo-fi tip. And that was recorded in Carn's garage... We've come along way.
Until "Camera" comes I have this Kanye West to keep me company.
