Had a series of meetings set up for yesterday, most of which ended up falling through. I ended up moving most of my stuff to the new apartment, after I checked out my friends new place at the Optima, which was honestly ridiculously sick, up on a higher floor, outside with lots of plants, all wide open full wall windows etc.
My new place is pretty chill, lots of stairs, but I don't have much actual stuff so that's not too bad, got moved in pretty fast, bringing the rest of my stuff over tomorrow probably.
Ended up meeting with Aaron Seaford over at Canal a little later in the evening, discussing potentially working together on New Years. He did our second concert ever, and also our first time being at Lyte, and that event went very very well, filled the place up, killed the show, good times. Since then he and Lyte parted ways but we all kept in touch, we promoted a Maxim event at Barcelona with him that also went very smoothly. We chopped it up about New Years at Canal and 5th Estate, and about what all is going down for All Star.
On the plus side, Carn has a large chunk of the new Dream cd on my laptop, which is a huge Christmas bonus, being that I still practice singing by doing every song on his first cd...
Nighttime we we're planning on hitting PHX, but everyone left before we left Jimmie's house, so we went to Pattie's in Old Town, which was damn near cracking, and like shooting fish in a barrel with game, but the girls we were with couldn't get drinks and wanted to leave, so we ended up at Giligans, which is kinda like a cultural dead zone, I ended up drinking a 24 ounce corona (wtf?) and then we're at my house having a pool party (warmed pool is AWESOME in Arizona winter). Definetly making a copy of the pool key before moving lol. Lying in the pool staring up at palm trees and stars made me miss hawaii something pretty awful though :(
So I'm cooking taro pancakes. Gotta hold on to the small things.
