We just got another of our tracks back where Joe (our underground kickboxing engineer) really got his swag up and hit us with that new Kanye autotune. Perfect timing for our strip club song to be the one he mixes as he learns this. I can only imagine his thought processes, we're the only people who record at that studio who have listened to a single piece of music beyond 1995, and no, despite what you may think, that's not a good thing whatsoever. So we come in with the T-Pain autotune settings written down and reference cd's of Kanye/Justice etc. and it hasn't been the same since.
Last night drank Red Stripe with Chris, then went to Plan B for the Scion radio party with Sinden and the various turntablelab cast. That scene is funny because everyone is very awkward, its not like a massive binge drinking friendly thing. I bounced uptown before Sinden (eh) and then ended up back on the lower east drinking a beer in a bottle shaped like a Buddha in a club with 10 people, one of whom was T-Pain (wtf?).
Today I'm back on the rockstar workout plan, I've been really getting it in on the beer and NYC food and it makes me forget I should be shirtless in videos in stuff in a month and maybe I should actually use the gym conveniently located about 30 seconds from where I'm staying (in the garage lol). I was tempted to do the lemon water fast for a week or so but Jimmie's coming into town for our meetings and if I'm shaking from a cleansing fast it'll just look I'm on drugs and we don't need that at all.
I think Silver Medallion has corrupted my soul because so far the new Britney album sounds AWESOME. We've come a long way since indie hip hop round here...
More invites!
