Fear and Loathing in Arizona

Our lives are too real for reality television.

Sans car (transmission out, am now selling to buy 89-92 acura/toyota), I've been living the bike life, which doesn't sound bad if it wasn't 112 degrees and everything in arizona wasn't about 5-7 miles away from everything else. I've walked to the studio, biked to meetings (reminds me of the Office episode where Jim starts biking to dunder-miflin stanford and profusely perspires the whole episode), and even ran my car (a process involving me with one door open pushing my car at about 15mph down two streets to the auto place, tow trucks are for sissies) to get fixed etc.

Today I'm dealing with the club scene, we have a show on Thursday with an unnamed pop act at an unnamed club location where the club hasn't paid their half of the money, the operating manager hasn't read the contract and won't return calls to do the open bar with Sky Infusion (who get props), and the booking agent is calling me to get logistics (im the designer/web guy) because his contact doesn't have a cell phone... And apparently the contract is a mess, and at some point i'm ready to call it a wrap except my group is performing and whether i get a new car is tied to the financial results...

Anyway, fuck it, I'm moving to Scottsdale so I can walk to the office and the club and cause general mayhem and be away from this cursed, crime infected location i live in currently. Times they are a changing.

And that's how it goes. Still bumping Santogold.
