Sigh. Things have been busy, played the battle of the bands on Thursday, pretty sure we made it to the next round, but we won't know for a week or so. It was the strangest concert experience we've had yet, they harassed our video team, confiscated their tapes, made me zip my jacket up so you couldn't see my (semi-xplicit) shirt, cut all swearing out of the set, their bass was capped so you couldn't really have any bottom in the music, and the sound was extremely low, the stage was about 12 square feet and there was no sound man. All of this taking place in a casino with lots of old people playing slots etc, and its no separate club, this is IN the casino. The old people seemed to like us, they booed the rappers sets after us (insanity). At the end of the day at least the Sol Camp dj let us use his Serato...
Last night shot flicks for Willy Northpole and Cinque at their party at club downtown. My man Marz was there, Beast from Casa Grand, and it became "see how well I can take pictures while drinking patron" time... Finally got my 430 flash working again so I can take cooler club flicks, macro lens is done though, i gotta start looking into photo gear again.
Studio today out on the West Side, cutting a new track called "Chemical Reaction" tentatively. Some pics from last night are below.
