As I design a logo for a church, I'm consumed by confusion and apprehension at the hypocrisy of it all.
Or not. In fact it was surprisingly enjoyable. The drastic parallels of my days are getting freaky, however. For instance, wake up, show the house I live in to realtors, design a church logo, dj a frat party ("frat boys, crank that batman! frat girls, do the cyclone!"), upload web templates to systems operators, go to a slam, hit the art walk, write another song...
Nowadays it's all about content. The two new potential clients I'm sitting with are having to understand that, without the budget for content, their budget for promotion is useless. We're redoing our band aesthetic to reflect that, video for every song, written stories, longer blog entries, more remixes etc.
