The Great Peregrination-Eugene

Survived California, now on the road heading up North towards Oregon. After the relative insanity of SD, we spent a night in LA, where one of our boys lives with a Brazilian go-go dancer. The nighttime was spent in the depths of El Centro (where the dancer works), an after hours house music spot, filled to the maximum with Koreans getting deep into trance music. I’ve now given up on any traditional work out plan in favor of dancing the night away to hardcore techno surrounded by people far smaller than myself…

Oregon is beautiful as we enter it out of NorCal, snow capped mountains and deep forests. I’ve never been this far North on the coast, and I’m looking forward to the photos I’ll be taking of the greenery, especially after spending so long stuck in the desert.

The drive is no joke, we’ve been in the car 10 hours already, looking at three more, to get to Eugene from LA. Enjoying it with the boys, trying not to go crazy. We’ve already created a list of people who will not be discussed for the rest of the trip, to raise our general comfort level and help us forget the state of panic in which we left Arizona. I’d be content with the hours of instrumentals on my ipod coming out the car stereo, just singing/freestyling the whole way, but I’m relatively easy to please J. At the end of today is a bar, homemade calzones, a hot tub and fine cigars, so I can’t complain, but it will be good to see the end of the road.

On a side note: the Toyota Land Cruiser is an impressive vehicle. We can fit three guys, our stuff, our dj equipment, speakers, the studio, and boxed of photo lights plus bodyboards and sports equipment without discomfort or even a dip in suspension. Sign me up for a hybrid version.

Pick from the car of the Eugene landscape, and a sample of the new fashion work I'm doing, prepping for some magazine jobs that I'm looking at for New York.

Until tomorrow.
