My
father is working with the infamous Punahou school on their 2016 sustainability intiative. Under my limited understanding there goal is to be a completely green and self sustainable school by that date, and incorporate sustainability thoroughly into all subjects curriculum. Quite an impressive goal, and one I think other private high schools and all colleges should take into consideration as well.
So where I come in is my father had the idea for the logo he wanted and I made it happen. Below is the result. Lots to see here, used the gradients in photoshop for the text, used layers to chop in a photo of mine of the Punahou lily pond (until recently site of the schools symbolic hala tree), faded in the top text, the imagery of gray to green signifying sustainability.
